Saints WR Michael Thomas is gone for the season and the panel of First Take had a few things to say about it.

After a setback in his rehabilitation from ankle surgery, it was revealed that he would not return for the 2021 season. He addressed the issue in a social media post.

Thomas has a fresh, separate ankle condition that required him to see a specialist, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Thomas started his career with four straight seasons of 1,000 yards and set the NFL record for receptions in 2019 with 149. In 2020, the 28-year-old only appeared in seven games, delaying ankle surgery in order to compete for a Super Bowl in Drew Brees’ last season.
