The Minnesota star running back, Dalvin Cook, will be released on Friday IF he’s not traded by then. The Vikings hope to make one last effort to trade the stud back, but seems like they’re having trouble finding a fair trade for him considering his situation.
Adam Schefter pointed out some stats about Dalvin Cook’s recent success, but it’s Cook’s age that may prevent him from receiving a long contract in any trades or deals moving forward. Schefter’s tweet said: “Dalvin Cook is coming off a fourth straight Pro Bowl season, rushing for 1,173 yards and eight TDs in 2022. His career in Minnesota ends after six years, where he totaled 5,993 rushing yards, 1,794 receiving yards and 52 total TDs. He’ll turn 28 years old on August 10.”

ESPN reported on the trade/release situation with Dalvin Cook, saying the following in a football news article today:
The Vikings are expected to try to trade Cook one more time Thursday, and if they are unable to, they plan to process his release Friday, according to a source. Either way, this will bring an end to Cook’s six-year tenure in Minnesota.
The Miami Dolphins are expected to have an interest in signing Cook once he is released, sources told Schefter.
Dalvin Cook would be a great fit in just about any offense that needs a back who can catch out of the backfield.
