Ohio Police Officer, Military Veteran, Ambushed and Killed in the Line of Duty, Allegedly by Convicted Felon

Euclid, Ohio, police officer Jacob Derbin was killed on the night of Saturday, May 9. He appears to have been killed in an ambush by a convicted felon who was wanted for violating the conditions of his community supervision. That convicted felon was later identified by the Euclid Police Department as Deshawn Anthony Vaughn, and he was soon found deceased in a residence.
