President Donald Trump threw his support Tuesday behind a Republican challenger to Rep. Henry Cuellar, the Texas Democrat he pardoned last month, blasting the longtime lawmaker for what he called outright “disloyalty.”
Trump endorsed Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina, accusing Cuellar of turning his back on the president after choosing to seek re-election as a Democrat following his pardon.
