They always tell you to never stand behind a horse! A GOP member is recovering after being kicked by their own horse, according to Trending Politics: Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), one of the final holdouts on the Big, Beautiful Bill who ultimately voted for President Donald’s signature legislation, was tending to his farm over the weekend when he was “accidentally kicked by a horse,” according to a statement issued Tuesday. The spokesman said Burchett “suffered a broken rib and bruising but hasn’t missed a beat,” citing a speech he gave in his district last night and a packed schedule of follow-up meetings for the remainder of the week. As Burchett’s office tells it, a “horsefly” landed on the tail of his steed and spooked it, causing the horse to kick him in the chest with “both hooves.” Tim Burchett posted on X: Since everyone is asking, here’s the deal: On Sunday, I was kicked by a horse. Broke a rib. He didn't like being bit by that horse fly, and my rib was collateral damage. On Monday, I traveled 3.5 hours to middle Tennessee. Attended 3 events. Got back to the farm at 2:30am. Today, I was awake by 6am. Traveled to Campbell County. Attended 2 events. It's going to take more than a broken rib to slow me down.
