Just when baseball fans in Philadelphia got excited to see the Phillies welcome the Dodgers for an early-season battle of the titans, they got quite a surprise when they saw it was blacked out from their own town.
Everyone hates Apple TV and the MLB right now. I am 15 minutes from Citizens Bank Park and I can't even watch my own local baseball team, the Philadelphia Phillies, because some idiot in the MLB thought it would be a good idea to put the game on Apple TV.
No one wants local sports on ANY of the streaming services. It's a disgrace for the MLB to even consider this - let alone agree to it. Shame on the MLB for doing this to Phillies fans.
We should be able to watch our local sports teams no matter what stupid digital streaming deal is in place. This is ridiculous. No one wants to buy Apple TV just for this game. And now that I see Apple TV doing this - I won't ever purchase Apple TV for anything else either.
Shame on them.
