Is this that toxic masculinity they speak about? This news reporter was trying to do his segment during Hurricane Helene when he heard a woman screaming for help. At first he reminded her that the authorities were on their way, but then he realized it didn't look good. He went IN the flood and carried the woman back to safety.
Part of me is wondering why she didn't just walk herself... maybe she can't swim, or she was terrified of the water. I know people who literally can't swim. They won't even go in a 4ft above ground pool where they could literally just WALK, so I know the fear of water is a legit thing. Either way, he carried the woman on his back and brought her somewhere safe. Good for him and we're glad she's OK too. Video is below:
