Kelly Stafford, Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, threw a pretzel at an opposing fan in week 10 at Levi’s Stadium. Just a few minutes into the game, Kelly threw a soft pretzel at an opposing fan after which she was escorted out of the stadium. Too bad we can’t find the video of this, because it’s probably hilarious.
Following the incident, she is taking a break from road games for a while.
Kelly said that the 49ers fan was heckling her, so that’s why she chucked a pretzel at them. She explained this on her podcast “The Morning After.” She claims to have offered to buy the fan and his friends food and drinks, but they declined.
“I’m human, I make mistakes, and I own up to them. I don’t f***ing hide from them, that’s not me,” admitted Kelly.
She was fine with being taken out of the game, as she didn’t even want to watch it considering the Rams lost 31-20.
Hubby QB Matthew Stafford took a hilarious approach to the pretzel situation, saying: “Well, I wish I was as accurate as you were, but I guess only one person in the family was accurate that night.” He completed 26 of 41 passes and had a passer rating of 67.4, so he was clearly making a joke about his off-night against the 49ers.
Meanwhile, here’s Kelly on parenting for all those dads and moms taking too many shots and trying to get up and be responsible.
