Cincinnati Bengals stud quarterback Joe Burrow showed up to the stadium in another team’s jersey before his football game, but there’s a really awesome reason WHY Joe Burrow showed up to the Bengals game in this totally different color shirt and I think you’re gonna love why.
According to Stuart Miller-Davis, a sports storyteller, the jersey is “his dad’s Montreal Alouettes jersey and the Alouettes just clinched a spot in the Grey Cup.” So basically, Joe Burrow is sending his dad Jimmy a big shout-out and also showing support for the Alouettes, the football team who plays in the Canadian Football League where his dad used to play.
Did you think Joe Burrow was just magically good at football? Nope, Joe’s athletic skills come right from hisBig Papa. According to People’s report on Joe Burrow’s parents, Jimmy was quite a baller! “Jimmy played football professionally back in the 1970s and 1980s, according to Sports Illustrated. After a successful college career at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the eighth round of the 1976 NFL draft. After his time in the NFL, Joe’s dad played in the Canadian Football League for five years.”
Joe Burrow’s mother, Robin, is an elementary school principal. Seems like big Joe has the discipline and athletics in his bloodline, no wonder he’s so chill. Gotta love when athletes support their friends and family, because that’s part of what sports is all about – coming together for a good and fun reason. Shout out to Stuart Miller-Davis who had the scoop on why Joe Burrow wore a different jersey to the Bengals game.
