Homeless former NFL player defends himself against bully in video

Frank BojaziNovember 2, 2023Updated:January 19, 2024

A former college football star who played for a little bit with the Dallas Cowboys (ew, they suck) had ended up homeless and even spent some time in jail. That’s terribly unfortunate and we don’t know his personal full story or journey, so we can’t comment on what he’s going through. But I know one thing, he shouldn’t have to deal with a scumbag bully like he does in the video below.

The former football player was identified as Chris Brymer and this video dates back many years, but it’s surfaced again on social media and certainly is sparking up a conversation on what happened to him. Former Dallas Cowboys player Chris Brymer was a star at USC, later spent time in the NFL, and somehow ended up homeless and spending time in jail.

This video shows a bully picking on him and Brymer defending himself, teaching the bully a lesson he probably regrets. We found an article about Chris Brymer dating back to 2016 on ABC7. That sports news report said the following about the former NFL player seen in the video:

For many in Apple Valley, Chris Brymer was a hometown hero, but now he’s homeless, and those who love the former USC football star are trying to reach out.

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a disease from repetitive brain trauma. The symptoms include memory loss, confusion, impaired judgement, control problems and aggression. The former NFL player’s ex-wife, Melissa Brymer, said all of the symptoms describe her ex-husband.

Brymer, however, is now homeless and resisting help from loved ones.

Video of a violent confrontation that took place recently in a Costco parking lot in Victorville quickly went viral. The footage shows Brymer fending off an attacker. He is seen throwing punch after punch, until the attacker falls to the ground and backs off.

“Chris was kind of like a cat playing with a mouse right there…he was actually pretty nice,” said Apple Valley High School football coach Matt Rohrbaugh.

And now for the video… Brymer appeared to be minding his business when a bully tried to approach him and get physical, but Brymer is a BIG GUY who’s used to pushing around other big guys, so this little bully twerp was no match for Brymer, even if the former football player wasn’t in his best shape.  You can see Brymer handle the bully with ease and begin walking away. Some other guy looked like he wanted to jump in on Brymer, but he pulled back when the really annoying camera guy told him not to mess around – or he would find out too!

You may want to turn your speakers down because the guy recording the video is really loud and really annoying. WATCH the video of Chris Brymer taking on a bully below:
