Two female competitors at the Oregon girls high jump state championships refused to stand on the podium with a male competitor. An adult official made the defiant females stand on the sideline after they refused to stand next to the male who identifies as female.
This situation has sparked a national debate on fairness in women’s sports, with the majority of people believing that women should not be forced to compete against biological males. Most Americans believe female sports should be for biological females only, rejecting people who were born male. There is a lot of evidence stating that biological males likely have a strong physical advantage over the female competitors.
Others believe that whenever a male competitor defeats a female, that they are taking away the women’s chances to win and be successful. It could cause a female competitor to lose out on a scholarship, miss a state championship, and perhaps cause them to lose interest in their own sports.
Where do you stand on the issue with biological males competing against real women?
Here’s the video of what happened with the girls team in Oregon.
