After letting Malcom Jenkins go, the Eagles had to do something with that secondary of misfits. They signed 29-year-old Darius Slay from the Lions. Now they’ve grabbed Nickell Robey-Coleman from the Rams on a one year deal.
Robey-Coleman is best known for committing the worst non-call pass interference penalty in the history of histories. It was like he was playing NFL Blitz in person as he knocked a Saints receiver out way before the ball arrived. Unfortunately for the Saints, the referees must have had bets on this and didn’t call the most obvious call of all.
Yep, that’s him!
“He's got the competitiveness, the speed, the toughness we're looking for in our defensive backfield."#FlyEaglesFly

Dava Spadaro said about Robey-Coleman, “During the Rams’ Super Bowl season in 2018, Robey-Coleman limited opposing receivers to 295 yards and under eight yards per reception on 58 targets. For a second straight season, he earned a grade of 80-plus from Pro Football Focus and he played well in the postseason with three pass deflections.”
Not bad, sir!
But guess what?
The Eagles are making moves in free agency on the defense and will likely draft receivers this summer. But as you know, the Eagles are really bad at drafting and often end up with guys like Donnel Pumphrey, who now plays for the XFL incase you missed it.
Yep, Donnel Pumphrey is on the DC Defenders.
We drafted a future XFL’er.
