Eagles release Eli Ricks and Za’Darius Smith retires out of nowhere

The Philadelphia Eagles made roster moves today, announcing it on social media: “We have signed CB Tariq Castro-Fields to the Practice Squad and released CB Eli Ricks.”

In other news, Za’Darius Smith also retired out of nowhere after 11 seasons in the NFL. He posted a message on Instagram. It was his personal decision to retire and had nothing to do with football, according to sources. Who are the sources? Himself. Duh.

Does that mean it’s Howie Season to bolster the Eagles roster? Can we get rid of that horrible offensive coordinator named Kevin Patullo who couldn’t playcall his way out of a wet paper bag? Seriously folks, having him call plays for this talented offense is like asking an Arby’s meat boy to fly a stealth bomber. And I love Arby’s, but Kevin ain’t the guy for the job.
