Watch the video:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mission: Impossible -\u00a0Dead Reckoning | The Biggest Stunt in Cinema History (Tom Cruise)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-lsFs2615gw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThis is far and away the most dangerous thing we\u2019ve ever attempted,\u201d Cruise said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been working on this for years.\u00a0We\u2019re going to shoot it in Norway and it will be a motorcycle jump off a cliff into a base jump.\u00a0I\u2019ve wanted to do it since I was a little kid.\u00a0And it all comes down to one thing \u2014\u00a0the audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The video clip provides outlines into the extraordinary preparation that went into the scene. That includes undergoing hundreds of parachute jumps from a helicopter as well as thousands of practice motorcycle jumps on dirt tracks build exclusively for him to work on the stunt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t be careful,\u201d Cruise said. \u201cBe competent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Writer-director Christopher McQuarrie noted, \u201cThe only thing that scares me more is what we have planned for \u2018Mission 8,\u2019\u201d which will be part two of the movie, which is set to be released in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tom-cruise-releases-footage-of-most-dangerous-stunt-hes-ever-attempted-for-new-mission-impossible-film\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">added<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Cruise\u00a0generated\u00a0headlines earlier this week when he released a video thanking fans who went to the movies over the summer to see \u201cTop Gun: Maverick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The movie grossed more than $1.4 billion at the global box office and more than $690 million domestically after three months in theaters, making it one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, Variety reported back in September.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cHey everyone, here we are over sunny South Africa,\u201d Cruise said in the new video while sitting on the edge of a helicopter. \u201cAnd we\u2019re filming \u2018Mission: Impossible \u2013 Dead Reckoning\u2019 parts one and two.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theaters, and thank you for supporting \u2018Top Gun: Maverick,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He then introduced Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and is directing \u201cDead Reckoning,\u201d as he told the actor that he had to wrap it up because they were on a tight filming schedule.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cListen, we really gotta roll, we gotta get this shot,\u201d McQuarrie noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh ya, we\u2019re filming,\u201d Cruise said. \u201cWe gotta get this shot. Are you coming?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot on your life,\u201d McQuarrie answered with a smile. \u201cGood luck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll see you down there,\u201d Cruise said as he rolled out of the helicopter backward, but still continued to film.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere was I?\u201d Cruise says as he looks at the camera while falling. \u201cOh, yeah. Thank you for supporting \u2018Top Gun: Maverick.\u2019 As always, thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honor of a lifetime. Yeah, very lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m running out of altitude, so I better get back to work,\u201d Cruise said as he broke away and dove straight for the ocean below. \u201cWe gotta get this shot. You have a very safe and happy holiday.
