Roger Goodell is one of the most hated people in sports and he just gave football fans another reason to hate him. Goodell recently said to a fan that the NFL has considered hosting a Super Bowl in London and fans are pretty much revolting against this idea all over social media. Many NFL fans are saying this is the Super Bowl for teams in America, and the Super Bowl and all NFL games should be held IN America.
People feel this way because anytime an NFL game is hosted overseas, it takes away from the fans here in our own cities – the same fans who want to buy tickets to the game, but can’t because it’s being played over in London. I’ll tell ya what, I don’t think any NFL games should ever be held in London or anywhere on the planet except for America. This is American football and the American fans deserve to see their team AT HOME, not thousands of miles away.
A sports article on ESPN had a quote from Roger Goodell when he said: “It is not impossible, and it is something that has been discussed before.” Goodell said this at a fan forum in London that took place recently as NFL teams were playing in London.
I say bring the games home and keep the Super Bowl here in America. This is our game, let us enjoy it!
