LOOK: Arch Manning Pictured In His Possible College Uniform; Where Does Texas Stand in Manning’s Recruitment as He Nears A Decision

Where do things stand for Arch Manning ahead of his Texas Official Visit?

Can Texas land the nation’s number one player following a busy month of official visits?

Arch Manning is wrapping up his official visit to Georgia today. He was seen sporting Georgia gear alongside Georgia commits and other top recruits.

Texas and Georgia are believed to be the final two schools for Manning. This became clear when Alabama received a commitment from QB Eli Holstein, the former Texas A&M commit.

Manning is still expected to take his scheduled official visit to Tuscaloosa next weekend despite Holstein already in the fold for the Crimson Tide. However, Manning is unlikely to join a class that already has an elite quarterback.

Manning will take an official visit to Texas the weekend of the 17th. Texas has been trending nicely for Arch for some time. In Texas’s favor, what continues to work is the long-standing relationship Manning has with head coach Steve Sarkisian and AJ Milwee, the Texas quarterbacks coach. Manning also thinks highly of Sarkisian as a developer of the quarterback position and as an offensive genius.

If Georgia wants to halt Texas’s momentum in this recruitment they will have to sell hard what has kept them in this race. That includes program stability under Kirby Smart following their national championship victory in 2021, as well as guaranteed elite talent that will surround Manning while at Georgia.

The timeline regarding Manning’s decision is unknown. Manning recently expressed to the media that he is prepared to take his decision into the fall if he does not get all of his remaining questions answered on his official visits.

Arch Manning (New Orleans, LA) is the consensus number one player in the nation across the four main recruiting databases: 247Sports, On3, Rivals, and ESPN. He is the son of Cooper Manning who attended Ole Miss. He is the nephew of Super Bowl MVPs Peyton and Eli Manning and the grandson of Hall of Fame QB Archie Manning. In his three-year career at Isidore Newman High School, Arch Manning has thrown for 5,731 yards, along with 72 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
