Jets signal caller and likely future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers has laid out a timeline for returning to his team after suffering an injury a few plays into the first game of the season in September.
Per NBC’s Melissa Stark, Rodgers, who has been practicing somewhat and throwing the rock, said he is eyeing a December return, hopefully in time to help the Jets make the playoffs if they can hang on to their season.
Aaron Rodgers’ goal is to return in mid-December, he told @melissastark, according to her report on NBC just now. Would be an incredible recovery and in time for a possible playoff push for the #Jets.

“He said, ‘I know it sounds insane, but you do a good surgery, you have a good patient, it makes this possible,’” Stark said on the telecast.
Recently, he demonstrated just how quickly the healing process has been for him, displaying the ability to drop back and throw passes during Jets warm-ups this month, Fox Sports reported.
“Rodgers said he has been working on a weight-limiting treadmill, jogging at 50% of his body weight. His goal this week is to increase it to 75%,” the outlet reported.

“The team has gone 4-4 heading into Week 10, while Zach Wilson has completed 59.9% of his passes for 1600 yards and has a 5-5 TD-INT ratio,” Fox added.
Will the Jets manage to stay on the positive side of .500? Will Rodgers get handed a viable team heading into the final stretch of the regular season? Will he make his self-imposed timeline?
We’ll see.
