Texas fans, and college football fans alike, have recently had their eyes glued to the Arch Manning sweepstakes. Second-year Texas Head Coach Steve Sarkisian has put it all on the line to land Eli and Peyton Manning’s nephew.
5-Star Quarterback Julian Saying from Carlsbad, California is ranked as the #7 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting rankings and is the #2 quarterback prospect.
Texas appears to be among the top schools for Sayin; the young passing phenom has also demonstrated interest in the Florida Gators, Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, UCLA Bruins and Georgia Bulldogs.
The Longhorns have hosted Sayin several times for unofficial visits over the past year. Sarkisian’s coaching staff will surely try to get him back on the forty acres during the fall football season.
It is unclear if Julian Sayin’s interest in Texas is contingent on Arch Manning committing to a different school. To understand Sayin’s physical potential, check out this clip from his highlight reel last season:

How would Arch Manning committing to Texas football affect Julian Sayin’s recruitment?
Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have made their commitment to Arch Manning obvious as they have not hosted any other 2023 QB prospects. That said, the Longhorns are pursuing 2023 QB Arch Manning and 2024 QB Julian Sayin simultaneously.
Experts anticipate that Arch Manning committing to Texas would negatively impact Texas’ chances of landing Julian Sayin. Manning’s family notoriety and natural talent make him a 3-4 year presumptive starter if he were to choose Texas.
The Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns are considered finalists for both Arch Manning and Julian Sayin. A recent Rivals report expects that whichever school Arch Manning chooses will fall behind in the battle for Julian Sayin.
Many people close to the Manning family believe that Arch is nearing a decision and could make an announcement either this Summer or later this year.
